Be Content

It is a difficult walk at times when we can see others who choose to walk a different path have riches poured out upon them.  Sabbath-keepers who watch others get the jobs or promotions because THEY can work on Saturday.  Children who do not keep Christmas who watch their friends receive an outpouring of gifts.  Teenagers who do not keep Halloween who see their friends get gobs of candy from complete strangers.

We go through this life on a journey in a world that is not our home.  In a country that is not our own.  Watching the world around us get so much more than we receive because they have no desire to follow Yahweh.

It is easy to get a little depressed and envious of the world because of these things.  However, we must remember that this is all they have to look forward to.

Isaiah 64:4 - For since the beginning of the world, man has not heard nor perceived by ear nor seen by sight, O Elohim, besides you, what he has prepared for him that waits for him.
The key being we must wait.  We may be envious, but we must not let it overtake us.  We must remind ourselves that they have their reward (Matthew 6:1-8).  We only have to be content with what we have and wait.
